This new space will be a centralized laboratory dedicated to rapid prototyping technologies that will enable the exploration of integrated physical form, electronics, and computing. These activities and common space will immediately support several ongoing projects and the Sm[ART] Spaces Presidential Dream Course planned for spring of 2009. More importantly, these will allow us to continue to solidify relationships with faculty from other departments, and to develop approaches to cross-disciplinary interaction and education.
